How to survive a New York City Summer: Never go on a rooftop that doesn’t have a pool. Rule #2 is to stick with your cottons and linens. August is one of the hottest months in New York City so if you can survive that, you can just about survive anything.
I’ve been wearing these cotton/linen blend shorts from The Frilly all summer long. They’re easy, light-weight, comfortable and not to mention, I customized them myself! They’re fitted at the waist and relaxed at the hip and thigh to give that breezy silhouette. These will for sure be my go-to’s until August is over!

This is what I would be wearing if I were attending some summer wedding upstate, but I’m not so here we are! As weird as it may sound, I feel bad if I don’t get a good wear out of my clothes. To me, it seems like such a waste of space in the already limited closet space we’re given in New York City. So while wearing a fitted suit with sneakers in the middle of the week (with nowhere to go) may come off as a little random, its pretty normal to me.
If you’re complete opposite of me and actually are in the market for a suit for a summer wedding/event, BoohooMAN has a sick selection of suits right now. A sick enough selection that it was hard for me to pick just one. I fell in love with this sea-foam color because it just screams summer. I also have my eye on a few of their short suits as well so this isn’t the last you’ll see of me!

I’ve been seeing a lot of head-to-toe red hot looks on Instagram lately. I try not to follow fashion “trends” but coincidentally, Seeing Red by Niia has been playing constantly on my Spotify, so here we are, I guess! My favorite part about this all red get-up is that it can be worn together or broken up into multiple looks.
The jacket should be perfect for fall with just a basic tee and light wash denim. The button up is great for all year round and I love the cross tab collar detail. It makes for a cool modern twist on the classic button up. AND FINALLY THE PANTS! The pants are everything! I’m so obsessed because I own nothing like them. I can’t wait to pair them with band/graphic tees! They’re super wide-leg which I’ll most likely wear for a bit then taper them in a bit.
Have you noticed this red on red “trend” on Instagram? Also, would you try?? Let me know in the comments below!

Just kidding I don’t smoke, but I’m trying to pass on wearing this puffer jacket everyday. Get it!? As much as I’m over this cold weather, I actually had to pull this bad boy out the other day. Hopefully that was the last, but I won’t hold my breath. He had a good run this season though…
